We offer classes suitable for all levels ensuring individual attention is given to all clients. Please arrive 10 minutes early if it's your first time so our highly trained instructors can show you the ropes.
Preston & Ivanhoe
No Experience - Beginner
Back to basics. With a strong focus on how to operate the reformer and becoming familiar with high level "text book" exercises. These classes will improve coordination, concentrating on correct posture before moving the body. A slower paced session that is educational, while still getting a full body workout. This class is best suited to those with no reformer experience or those who are new to exercise.
Beginner - Intermediate
An open reformer Pilates class, which draws on dynamic movements with the use of props, while allowing for minimal rests. A full body workout using the carriage in many different ways. This class combines length, strength, flexibility, and balance, while maintaining a cardio component. A number of options are given for progressions and regressions to cater for all levels.
Intermediate - Experienced
A dynamic class drawn from the fundamentals of classical Pilates, but also incorporating a cardio component. This class is designed to flow quicker than a traditional reformer class, while maintaining the quality of the movement. The class incorporates a number of props while making full use of the reformer (360 degrees).
A full body workout with a number of different postures and positions, keeping the heart rate high. This class would be suitable for those who have experience in using a Pilates reformer.
Cardio HIIT or high-intensity interval training is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick intense bursts of exercise followed by short, sometimes active recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time. These classes are challenging but FUN, using a number of props and exercise equipment at different stations so you are always moving and using different muscle groups. Each class has been designed to cater for all fitness levels with a number of progressions and regressions offered.
Cardio boxing classes consist of an all over cardio and strength training workout which helps improve endurance, co-ordination and stamina. Allowing you to develop upper body strength, core strength, quickness and agility, cardiovascular fitness and improved posture all at the same time. These boxing classes are great for all ages and fitness levels. Boxing is also a great for stress relief. You'll get an intense workout while improving your core strength. gloves are available at the studio or you are welcome to bring your own.
Sweat & Control classes are designed to tone your entire body, creating longer, leaner muscles while incorporating dance and Pilates related exercises using small hand weights, Pilates ball and exercise mats for core specific work on the ground. The interval training format (raising and lowering the heart rate) means that you get fast results, fat burning is increased and your metabolism is boosted for hours after your workout. These Sweat & Control classes work your entire body, giving special attention
to the lesser-used muscles.
Yoga cultivates health and wellbeing (physical, emotional, mental and social) through the regular practice of a range of many different techniques, including postures and movement, breath awareness and breathing exercises, relaxation and concentration, self-inquiry and meditation. Yoga is an approach to life that values appropriate effort, based on balance and harmony, within each person and with each other. We have yoga mats available but you are also welcome to bring your own.
